Thank you for letting me drop in on you, Charity!
With the freezing weather we’ve been having, it’s been a
nice break to go back to the desert kingdom of Licosia as I share the news
about my newest release, Mystic’s Touch. This sensual fantasy brings a
shape-shifting Prince together with a talented healer under dual suns.
Heat. Sand. Sun.
Intrigue and a destined love.
Did I mention hunky heros? Not just one... Four.
Makes your heart go pitter-patter, doesn’t it? Oh, don’t
misunderstand. There’s only one man for Danet. But that doesn’t mean the rest
of us can’t enjoy the scenery now does it?
Allow me to introduce Gehiji, Runihura and Mdjai. Three of
Ceros’ closest friends.
Me: Gentlemen. Welcome. And thank you for agreeing to come
today.
Gehiji: Danet said we had to.
Me: Oh, well, that was… nice of her. Do you always do what
Danet says?
Mdjai: Runihura does!
[Gehiji and Mdjai laugh]
Runihura: You would too if she’d threated you like that.
Me: She threatened you? But she’s such a sweet person. And
you’re so… well… you’re a big, strong warrior [fans self]. How could she have
threatened you?
Gehiji: Runihura doesn’t like to talk about it since it’s
the only time he was tempted to run from a fight.
[Gehiji and Mdjai laugh again]
Me: Ah. Okay. So, tell me where you all met.
Mdjai: At Shirghada, which is what you would consider a
military school or training facility.
Me: You’re all trained soldiers then?
Runihura: And battle tested.
Me: Oh my [looks around for a larger fan]. What kind of
action have you all seen?
Gehiji: We’ve seen a little bit of everything.
Me: [waves fan faster] Hmmm… yeah… so what brought you all
to Licosia?
Gehiji: I traveled with Ceros after he received word his
father had died. No one should have to face that kind of news alone. Once I saw
there was trouble, I sent word to our team.
Me: And the two of you came.
Runihura: Naturally.
Mdjai: Ceros would do the same if one of us were in a bind.
Me: That’s so sweet! And yes, he does seem like he would.
Speaking of Ceros, what can you tell us about him?
Gehiji: He’s a good man. A good leader.
Mdjai: Probably one of the best strategists alive. He bested
some of our toughest instructors and out smarted many opponents in the field.
Runihura: And that beast of his can clear a battlefield.
It’s rather impressive.
Mdjai: Just so you know, that is high praise from a man who
has leveled more than one enemy’s hideout with only a few well-placed
explosives.
Me: I see. What do you think about Danet? Do you think
she’ll be good for your friend?
Gehiji: Absolutely.
Mdjai: I’ve never seen him so happy.
Runihura: It’s about time he got laid on a regular basis. He
never was one for chasing the ladies. I was beginning to worry about where his
interests lay.
Mdjai: Gods, Runi. Not in front of the lady.
Me: It’s all right. [clears throat] You mentioned a team.
Are there other members of your team?
Gehiji: A couple.
Mdjai: Actually, Runihura and I were preparing to make the
journey to the home of Kneph. His family sent word that he may need our
assistance.
Me: I hope everything is all right with him.
Runihura: Knowing that whelp, probably not. But I’m sure we
can pull him out of whatever scrape he’s gotten into.
Me: I’m sure you’re in a hurry to finish packing and get to
your friend so I won’t keep you gentlemen any longer. But I really appreciate
you coming and talking with us.
Mdjai: Anything to keep Danet happy. Isn’t that right,
Runihura? [more laughter]
Runihura: Don’t make me have to shoot you before we leave. I
don’t want to listen to you whining across two kingdoms.
About Mystic’s Touch:
When Prince Ceros returns home to take his place on the
throne, he falls prey to a mysterious malady that leaves him unable to speak or
move, though his thoughts and awareness remain intact. Danet, a talented
healer, realizes the prince is alert inside his body. The two are able to share
thoughts telepathically. Unfortunately her connection with Ceros may bring
unwanted attention to her abilities and result in her banishment from the city.
Their unique bond grows as Danet races to find a remedy for
the prince’s condition. Desire turns to love, which makes Danet fear for their
future when he awakens. They seek out the villain attempting to take the throne
and endeavor to find a way to stay together.
