I can't imagine what you're feeling as a former teacher, Charity. And mother as well. I read the amazing acts of bravery of teachers protecting children and sacrificing their own lives and I thought of you. It made the pain all the more real.
ReplyDeleteFriday was my husband's 40th birthday and I planned a surprise party for him. I spent the entire day crying and never enjoyed a single moment of the day. As a former teacher, I know how much love teachers feel for their students and I knew that acts of extreme bravery/sacrifice took place on that day. As a mother, I cannot even imagine their nightmare. My heart breaks for their loss.
