I was invited by Victoria Allen to take part in the Writing Process blog tour. Its purpose is to showcase different author methods all over all the world. Victoria is an amazing lady and a wonderful author with Ellora's Cave Publishing and Liquid Silver Books. If you get a chance, you should check out her books.
My tour questions:
1. What am I working on?
Right now, I'm working on book 5 of a new series. The "No Rival" series centers around the lives of several Las Vegas MMA fighters. The first book in the series will be releasing a few months with Ellora's Cave Publishing.
2. How does my work differ from others of the genre?
My characters tend to be a bit quirky. Whereas most romance/erotica books have strong leads who make everyone drool...well, I have those too, but mine are also human. Sometimes the women only work out so they can eat more chocolate and wear clothes to hide a fat roll. They worry about morning breath. Occasionally, they fantasize a little more than they should ;-)
3. Why do I write what I do?
It's never been a choice for me. Ideas strike me at the oddest times and it's almost a compulsion. I'm incapable of not writing. That's probably one the biggest reasons why I write in so many different romance genres. I can't be contained.
4. How does your writing process work?
I start by taking notes, generating a solid plan. Then my characters laugh and laugh before doing as they please.
Be sure to check out the next two authors next week:
Regina Puckett
Dionne Lister
